To begin learning my next two songs for the final, I filled in the notes of each song. This was a lot easier than the first time because I now know the notes better and can use the skills I learned in class (such as FACE and Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge). Writing out the notes was a good first step for me to start to learn the pattern of the song. It was also good because I had to look at each note individually and see what kind of note it was and what sound it will make. This gave me a better understanding of the song as a whole.
My first song is Ode to Joy composed by Beethoven. This song was faintly in my memory but I was unable to remember the exact tune until I filled in the notes.
Next, I filled in the notes for Jingle Bells:
To practice, I will slowly play the songs with the notes I filled in. I am then hoping to speed up the tempo and erase my drawn on notes.
